Wear the clothes you will be comfortable in. I may ask you to hold your pet, kneel beside them, etc.

Have a pet friendly blanket available. This may also be useful if you need to kneel.

Bring a long leash if appropriate.

Bring waste bags, etc. In case nature calls your pet while we are outdoors.

Have some of their favorite toys available.

Have a few of their favorite treats available.

Dress casually.

Avoid clothes that have bold patterns. Solid colors are preferred. We want your special friend to standout.

If your pet is a darker color, wear lighter clothes. And if your pet is lighter, wear darker clothes. We want some separation in the images.

If there are multiple humans in the shots, try to coordinate your clothing per the above.

Wear clothes appropriate for the outdoors. You may get dirty.
